A Great Visit with Aunt TeTe & Uncle Bian!!

As most of you know, I like to get out to see Sissy & Brian at least once a year. This has become a bit more challenging since we had Sophia. It has been about a year & a half since Pat & I last took Sophia out, so we were way over due for a visit. Unfortunately, Pat was unable to go with us, and I wasn't real sure if I was ready to tackle flying for a full day with a very spirited 2 yr old!! After much arm twisting (NOT!), Mom agreed to go with me.


We set out on March 25th to go for a ride on a "warplane" as Sophia calls it. She was soooo excited!! She couldn't wait to get up in the sky & go see Aunt TeTe & Uncle Bian!! She stood at the window, and pointed to every, & I mean EVERY airplane she saw out the window... "OH Grandma, look there's another one!! OH Mama, another warplane!! Oh, another one..." and on & on & on!!! SO CUTE!!! She keep asking, "We go up in the sky Mama? Go see Aunt TeTe & Uncle Bian!!" I wasn't sure how much she would understand, or if she would even be excited, but boy was she!! It was soooo fun to watch!!!

The plane trip was long, but it was so much fun watching her soak in every moment!! Of course the look on Sissy's face when she seen her for the first time was well worth the long day!!! That is the best part for me!!!

We decided on a very low key vacation, rest relaxation, and a few fun trips for Fia. Of course I have a list of favorite resturants that I MUST go to, so we made sure to find time for those also!!! Hey, I am the biggest fan of Mexican food, and Tucson is the closest I can get to the real deal.... YUMMO!!!!

While we were there, Mom was able to spend the night with her great friend Gayle Kindt. They went to school together, & Gayle lives about an hour from Sissy, so we took Mom over to Gayle's work to drop her off on Thursday, and they had a shop til you drop girls day on Friday. Gayle is hoot, so I am sure Mom was having a blast with her!!!

Friday & Saturday we just hung out, and ran some errands, just spent good quaility time togerher!!! Sophia was having so much fun with Aunt TeTe & Uncle Bian!!

Sophia & Ode were BFF's in a few short hours!!!

Sophia had so much fun playing with their dog Ode, they became fast friends in a very short time!! Now poor Paco on the other had... He has the patients of a saint I am sure!! Sophia hung on him, and hugged (or really squessed his neck til it almost popped) as often as she could get him to stop long enough for her to attack him... Uncle Bian even made up a little song for Sophia to try to keep her from buggin Paco to much.... "Don't hang on the kitty, Don't hang on the kitty, Don't hang on the kitty, ....He'll scratch you up". Good lord, we sang that song day & night for almost the whole trip!!! Thanx Bro!!! Of course Tuki was the smartest animal in the house.... Stayed in his cozy hidding spot in the closet most the time. It was funny, Sophia actually figured it out one day, and I found her climbing (literally climbing) in Aunt TeTe's closet trying to get the the cat... "Come here Tuki, come on...I get you Tuki, come on!" LOL!!! Poor Tuki!!!

We did have a early Easter Dinner while we were there. We had Brian's Mom & Dad, & Gayle over on Sunday for Easter Dinner. It was so great to see Mom & Dad Balto!! I loved that they got to spend some time with Sophia. They may be my Sissy's in-laws, but I feel like they are just as much my in-laws!! They are wonderful, and I love them very much!! I know they were very excited to see Sophia. We took her to the park for a few hrs, Mom B is a wonderful photogragher, and she got some GREAT shots of Fia. I wish I could load them all on here, but there are just so many!! I did attach a few for you to see below. Between Brian & Mom B, I have way to many pictures to chose from to hang up at home!!

We did also make a trip to the zoo... Sophia LOVED that!!! She is such a HUGE animal lover, just like her Aunt TeTe!!! It is so funny, the bigger the animal, the more she LOVES it!!! She talked about all the animals she saw all day... So cute!!!

As always the trip was way to short!!! I wish I could stay for a month, but well, you know....work... :-(

We flew home on Wednesday morning VERY early (6AM), and it was a very uneventful trip home (YEAH!!) I was sad to leave, but we were both glad to get home to Pat, and Mom was happy to be home with Dad....

Can't wait for next year!!!!!
